Visitors to the museum, of any age, are in command of their own development and their own way of learning. Starting with this fundamental principle of Museum Education and from the consideration that the museum is an endless educational resource, the Educational Service is available both to schools

(of all levels), designing and implementing educational activities, and to a wider audience of visitors, proposing activities related to cultural events. Please consult the facebook page for events outside the annual program.

In search of lost time

A Gallehault… the Castle of Gradara

Purpose: Acquire historical and cultural knowledge about the site. Stimulate the observation of decorative and architectural elements that characterise the Rocca, to learn about its history.
Target:
Elementary and middle schools
Area: History
Activity description:
The students will be divided into small groups and will play the role of a historian. With the help of a pen and notebook, they will be guided in their research of the history of the Rocca and the lords that lived in it.
Duration: About 2 hours

Purpose: Acquire historical and cultural knowledge about the site. Stimulate interest in the matter of Paolo and Francesca, and instil a desire to learn more about this and other events of the past.
Target:
Elementary and middle schools
Area: History
Activity description: Interactive program in the form of a mystery, reconstructing the incident between Paolo and Francesca, based on the versions of Dante Alighieri (Inferno, Canto V), Giovanni Boccaccio (Commentary on the Divine Comedy) and Gabriele D’Annunzio (Francesca da Rimini).
Duration: About 2 hours

This will be followed by completing an educational notebook containing information sheets on the subject.
