TRANSPARENCY
The principle of transparency, in the sense of “total accessibility” to the information regarding the organisation and activities of public administration, was asserted with Italian Leg. Decree 14/03/2013, no. 33 “Reorganisation of the law concerning the duties of publicity, transparency and dissemination of information by public authorities”, published in the Off. Gaz. 5 April 2013, no. 80 and effective since 20 April 2013.
The objective of the regulation is to facilitate the widespread monitoring by citizens of the work being done by institutions and the use of public resources.
