Rocca di Gradara, a jewel of Italian fortified architecture, is the result of several phases of reconstruction that have occurred over the centuries, until the last great restoration done between 1921 and 1923, which marked the building with a strong imprint of medieval and neo-medieval style.

The consolidation of the walls and the massive restoration and preparation of the interiors of the Rocca di Gradara were carried out between 1921 and 1923 by engineer Umberto Zanvettori, who recreated a style typical of the residences of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, proposing environments that not only refer to private homes but also to public halls.

Il consolidamento delle murature e l’ingente operazione di ripristino e allestimento degli ambienti interni della Rocca di Gradara sono stati realizzati tra il 1921 e il 1923 per volontà dell’ingegnere Umberto Zanvettori, il quale ha ricreato uno stile tipico delle residenze del Medioevo e Rinascimento, proponendo ambienti che non solo si richiamano alle abitazioni private ma anche alle sale dei palazzi pubblici.
